Living on the Upper East Side, I can tell you first hand there is no shortage of reasons for people to visit. From the restaurants and museums to shopping and notable shows, my neighborhood is wonderful.
Since I live here, I find myself recommending hotels to visiting friends. One of my favorites is The Mark. I’ve gone to dinner at The Mark Restaurant by Jean-Georges a few times and had incredible meals. When I got a note to stop by the brand new The Mark Floral Cart; I knew it would be a fun part of my Friday. I was excited to see their spin on a classic New York City curbside flower bodega.
Sibel Mermelstein, house florist at The Mark, fills the curbside cart with luxe blooms from France and Ecuador. So it’s easy to see why the curated flowers are a must-have when in the neighborhood. So I grabbed one of my closest friends for an impromptu lunch date. After stopping to smell the crisp roses we picked 3 ft roses to take home. Then we warmed up in the lounge with special recipe Hot Cocoa by Jean-Georges and Laduree macarons. It was our version of Galentine’s Day.
Thanks to The Mark for a fun start to Valentine’s Day weekend.
